A competitor must cut through a round log
in the shortest time possible using a crosscut saw.

If a disc should break before the completion
of the cut, the competitor is required to complete the cut in
order to receive a score.

A peeled log with a minimum diameter of
30cms (14-16 inches) for the women. A peeled log with a maximum
diameter of 60 cms (16 - 18 inches) for the men.

A starting cut of 15 circumference centimeters
(6 inches) will be allowed.

Diameters will be taken and will be factored
into the scoring. Scoring will be based on the fastest basal
area cut per second.

One (1) team member will be allowed to wedge
the cookie while the competitor is sawing.

The distance from the ground to the bottom
of the log must be 45 cms, (18") +/- 2.5 cms (+/-1").

7.5 cms (3 inch) knot free wood must be
made available.

Competitors have 5 minutes to set up for the event or a disqualification will result.
- Competitors are not permitted to touch the disc until the judges have made their decision.

Setup
The corral must be determined by the head judge to be a safe
distance from the spectators.
Only competing athletes are permitted in the corral.
Logs must be securely fastened.
Any body weight on the stanchion must be within the stanchion
frame.
