Female competitors are required to make three (3) cuts,. Male competitors are required to make four (4) cuts.

Two (2) halves leaving the cant does not
constitute a complete disc. A disk would be considered “complete” if a sheer cut is less than 1 centimeter (0.4 inches). Sheer cuts greater than 1 centimeter (0.4 inches) will receive a 1 second penalty for each infraction.

Competitors are not permitted to touch the disc until the judges have made their decision.

Two (2) halves or "cut out" of
discs constitute an incomplete cut and a re-cut is required
immediately.

Chain binders, straps or team mates may
be use to assist with the securing of the log.

A spare saw may be held by a team member
but cannot be handed to the competitor.

A total time is given from the "GO"
signal until the last disc leaves the cant.

A maximum time of five (5) minutes will be allowed.

Setup
The corral must be determined by the head judge to be a safe
distance from the spectators.
Only competing athletes are permitted in the corral.
Logs must be securely fastened.
Any body weight on the stanchion must be within the stanchion
frame.
